Thank you for considering Alton Convent School as an option for your daughter’s education in the UK.
The school was founded in 1938 by the Sisters of Our Lady of Providence. It is located in Anstey Manor House on the outer fringes of Alton, and is set in nineteen acres of grounds, offering extensive playing fields, adventure playground, woodland walks and traditional gardens. Alton is a Georgian market town, well known for its association with the 18th century author, Jane Austen, and is just an hour by train from London. The historic city of Winchester, the former capital of England, is within easy reach, as is the city of Portsmouth, with its rich maritime past. Alton Convent School has excellent facilities, and an outstanding academic record. We are proud to have seen all our students progress to the universities of their choice, including Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College, London.
Alton Convent School offers a combination of all that is good and exciting in education today. Our philosophy is simple: we place great emphasis on the value of pupils and the experiences they will encounter within our community.
All our International Students are housed with families from within our school community. We do our best to help our students settle quickly into their new surroundings and to make their stay here happy, successful and fulfilling.
Alton Convent School has been granted the International School Award by the British Council.
