Alton Convent School will surprise you.

An exciting, achieving school

Examination success is very important and at Alton Convent School (ACS) our pupils regularly achieve outstanding results that allow them to progress to the best universities in the UK. As a Catholic community we understand that examination success is just one aspect of a meaningful education.

Pupils at ACS are encouraged to follow a broad liberal education which nurtures mind body and soul. Success on the sporting field, flair in the creative arts and a willingness to extend the hand of friendship typifies an ACS education.

Situated in twenty acres in the heart of the beautiful Hampshire countryside, and within easy reach of London, Winchester, Portsmouth and major airports. ACS is a leading Catholic day school that comprises a thriving nursery, coeducational preparatory school, where both boys and girls flourish, and a senior single sex girls which includes an outstanding sixth form. In the sixth form we welcome pupils from the international community and know they continue to flourish supported by the school and their host family.

Every day is a new beginning with challenges and opportunities. For our pupils, life at school is fulfilling, stimulating and satisfying. An infectious energy and enthusiasm can be felt through the entire school, and captivates within minutes of walking through the door. I invite you to visit us and experience all that is good and exciting in education today.

Mission Statement

Be the best that you can be

The Roman Catholic faith underpins everything that we do at Alton Convent School. It is the basis for our value system and is the core of our philosophy that every child matters.

The emphasis on the individual within the wider community is a necessary foundation for the happiness and success of the school.

All pupils participate in acts of worship and are expected to be supportive of the school’s ethos.
