The People’s Choice Award winners, TeenTech national final…

Imogen Peterson, Beatrice Pilgrim and Isabel Robinson were awarded the People’s Choice Award at the TeenTech national final which was held at the Royal Society recently.  They designed a piece of wearable technology that can detect UV radiation. It tells the wearer when to apply more sun cream or alternatively when to go outside.  The ‘Light Ray’ is intended to help prevent sunburn as well as reduce the growing problem of people not receiving enough Vitamin D. The standard of competition to become a TeenTech national finalist is extremely high so for the girls to have won an Award, whilst simultaneously studying for their GCSEs, is an incredible achievement and we are immensely proud of them. Congratulations girls!
