PTFA news
Out with the old and in with the new. PTFA chairman
I am delighted to be working with a superb new team, particularly the secretary Gaby and treasurer Wendy.
We had to hit the ground running to match the efforts of pervious years and this term we started with Sheila Lucas organising the Northbrook Gift Wrap sale for Christmas items. For the first time the PTFA is increasing its participation in the school's Christmas Bazaar and we hope this will boost funds all round.
There are three main events for everyone to be aware of – the Quiz Night on March 24th, the annual May Ball on May 19th and the Summer Fete on June 23rd.
Please make a note of these dates as we are anxious to involve as many parents, teachers and friends in these events as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is any further information you require or feel you may be able to help in any way, particularly with sponsorship and donating prizes. Printing costs are rising rapidly so if any parent has contacts in this area to minimise our outgoings this would be extremely valuable. And, of course, we are always looking for volunteers to help clear up after events!
We hope to have a bumper fundraising year and the Headmistress is anxious that the money we raise will go, among other items, toward another minibus.
I would like this opportunity to thank you for your support. Without you the PTFA would be nothing.
Chairman.
