Alton Convent maintains a consistent and very high standard of GCSE examination results. Students carried on the 100 per cent success pass rate by attaining the national standard of five GCSE graded A* - C. The school is again very likely to feature near the top of the National League Table. In 2006 student s achieved excellent GCSE results. Girls gained an average 9.8 subjects each. Over 55% of all passes were at grades A* and A with pass rates at grades A* - C of 99%. Year 10 who take GCSE Religious Studies and Information Technology a year early were similarly successful achieving 100% A*-C which serves to boost confidence for the challenges of Year 11.
