Dear Parents,

My initial analysis of the NFER assessment results from the week before half term suggests some very good progress throughout the prep school, as well as some excellent individual achievements; I’m also pleased to note the sensible, business-like way in which pupils took these tests in their stride.

My visit to Paris in the company of Year 6 and their teachers was a very enjoyable one: it was a great privilege to see the city afresh through the children’s eyes. I’ve included a selection from the children’s diaries below.

The school is looking wonderful in the summer sunshine. I’d remind parents that all pupils should now be wearing summer uniform, which we expect to be kept neat and tidy. I’d also like to remind parents that children should not be unsupervised whilst in the car park.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the events of the forthcoming weeks, including Parents’ Evening on Tuesday 9th June, the Upper Prep and Lower Prep Sports Days, on Thursday 11th and 18th respectively, and the Upper Prep Presentation Afternoon on Wednesday 24th June at 2 pm. Miles Berry, Head of the Prep Department
