On the 23rd September Alex, Alicia, Poppy, Harriet and myself, Alex arrived at 96.4 Eagle radio station Guildford. Accompanied by Mr Maher and Mrs Page, we were on a mission to create an advert promoting life at our sixth form and the forthcoming 6th Form Open Evening.

This was a brand new venture for the school and we found the recording process was both interesting and exciting. A live link via an ISDN line was set up to the production studio in Birmingham where Sarah talked us through what she wanted us to do. Back in the studio the recording team was being led by Chris who made us feel completely at ease behind the microphone in the studio. We certainly had a laugh and talked through the USP's (unique Selling points) of sixth form life at Alton Convent.

 The afternoon was a success resulting in leaving the recording studio with useful contacts for work experience and some invaluable radio vocabulary. We were all delighted to have been asked to be the voices on the ad and are looking forward to it being aired next week with over 126,00 listeners!
