Learning in the Prep School

“Excellence is achieved by the mastery of fundamentals.”

Vince Lombardi

The prep curriculum seeks to challenge each child, encouraging perseverance and achievement. Pupils experiment and discover knowledge afresh for themselves under the guidance of specialist teachers.

There is a generous time allocation for the core curriculum, as future success is founded on reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as essential numeracy and science.

As an independent school we are able to rise above the endless government initiatives and educational whims and go beyond the confines of the National Curriculum. We make time each week for an integrated approach to religious and moral education, for humanities, for ICT as a subject in its own right and as a tool for learning, and for French, creative arts and PE.
