Y10 Classical Civilisation visit to the British Museum

|

Pictured are Holly and Shona admiring the many different styles of Roman oil lamp at the British Museum. The girls were part of the Year 10 GCSE Classical Civilisation group who were there to gather information for their coursework. They have chosen a variety of topics to study including the lives of Roman women, gladiators, slaves, villas, mosaics and sculpture, and the Delphi oracle in Greece. We also visited the Elgin Marbles gallery and Iona has been inspired to investigate whether or not they should be returned to Greece. Mrs Williams hopes for some interesting pieces of work next year!
