Careers Fair

|

On March 2nd some 30+ companies and professions were on show at the senior school careers fair. Business and industry mixed with healthcare and leisure as the students worked their way through the fair, talking to professionals from architects to veterinary surgeons. The Royal Engineering Academy brought engineering to life with working prototypes of radio tagging, together with a production model to show the difference, Dell Computing demonstrated leading edge computing, while the North Hants Hospital demonstrated the power of radiology and Blinx Opticians showed just how cleverly the human eye operates.

The Vth and VIth form students were joined by the Vth and VIth form students from Salesian College, as they talked to managers from Virgin Media and Cisco, donned wig and gown for the law courts, discussed child care with Mayfield Nursery, and retail therapy with Sainsburys. During the course of the afternoon, the whole senior school was able to consider a wide variety of different careers in different industries. We are indebted to those who supported the Fair, and spoke openly and honestly about their own career and company, and thus made the afternoon a great success.
