I Form visit to Intech

|

I knew we had neared Intech when I saw the impressive dome shaped building in the distance. On Tuesday 6th February, Year 7 visited Intech Sciece Centre. When we arrived, we split into two groups. One group did the maths puzzles and the other a Pythagoras trail first. Our groups did the Pythagoras trail. We had a sheet with questions on and we had to wander around the centre to try and find the answers to them.

There were numerous interactive science experiments. Personally, I enjoyed them all, although my favourites were: Braille, flag signals, scanning food to learn about recycling, and how some big cubes can be much lighter than some small cubes. In addition, we went on a flight simulator and we learnt how to work a crane.

The maths puzzles were challenging, but fun! There were 25 puzzles altogether. The least difficult puzzle was where we had to make a square using certain shapes. The most difficult one was where we had to make an equilateral triangle using the same shapes as the square.

All in all, I really enjoyed our trip to Intech, especially as I enjoy experiments and a good challenge.
