Alton Convent School U/11 Netball Tournament Monday 15th October
Goal for ACS!
On Monday afternoon, we again had hosted our annual Inter- schools U/11 netball tournament. Local schools including Mayville Junior School, Dunhurst School, St Nicholas’ School and Lavant House took part. All matches were well fought but in the end Alton Convent School A team came away victorious – a victory thoroughly deserved.
Our first game was against Mayville Junior School and the final score was 5-3, gaining us our first point. Success continued against the other teams. We knew our last match against St Nics was the most important one but we pulled through to win the match by 8-1 which meant we remained undefeated.
The effort and tenacity shown by the girls was tremendous. They worked together as a team and recent practise really paid off. What was also very impressive was the way that the girls conducted themselves during the afternoon; they were all a real credit to the school. This was also true of the B team who, although they didn’t win, played enthusiastically against all opponents and showed real team spirit.
