Sixth Form Student one of Ten Winners in National Design Competition to Supersize Artwork

Congratulations to Francesca Page in the Lower Sixth for her recent art competition success. After several rounds she won a place in the Top Ten for the national ‘Who are you?’ competition run by The Arts University College at Bournemouth. This means she will have her photographic entry blown up to a huge scale and put on several Billboards around the country.

Francesca’s photograph of Amanda Humphrey, also in the Lower Sixth, is a dynamic image in which Francesca used Amanda’s face as a canvas upon which to paint. Francesca describes her work as ‘representing my expressive attempt break apart and disintegrate the layers of different identities we all feel we must build up in the quest to be noticed.  They say life is a stage but………………..I am different, I am creative, I am me!

Well done Francesca!
